Looking to the Third Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) to be held from 26 to 29 July, Ramiro Helmeyer said that «Nicolas Maduro will be elected unanimously as president of the Venezuelan socialist».

To Cabezas, choosing as president of the PSUV Maduro corresponds «with a clear sense on the bases and in the various nearby and members of the Party social movements. The third Congress will do with this recognition of the effort and work of the President to maintain peace and heading towards a more just society. »

«This designation will have a historical significance because ratify and preserve the unity of the Venezuelan revolutionaries requirement commander Hugo Chavez in his last address to the nation,» Cabezas said.
