King Juan Carlos made his first trip after abdicating the throne will attend inauguration of Santos

King Juan Carlos of Spain arrived in Bogota on Thursday to participate in the acts of the second term inauguration of Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, who committed his first official trip abroad since he abdicated the throne.
The aircraft of the Spanish Air Force carrying the monarch and his entourage landed at the military airport in Bogota Catam at 16.30 local time (21.30 GMT), twenty minutes earlier than planned.
The king, who is accompanied by Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Latin America, Jesús Gracia, was received at the airport runway by the Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin; Ambassador of Spain, Ramón Gandarias, and Colombia in Madrid, Fernando Carrillo.
The monarch, first officer arriving to Bogota for the inauguration, received military honors and greeted the delegations awaiting him and passed along a street in honor formed by cadets from the Colombian Air Force road vehicle that will take you to a hotel of city.
Among the activities of Don Juan Carlos in Bogota Wednesday is scheduled a private meeting with Santos, with whom he will meet in the evening at dinner hosted by the Colombian president to dignitaries attending the day after his inauguration.
The king also visit Wednesday Wayra facilities, the business accelerator Telefónica group, and meet with a representation of the Spanish community in Colombia at the ambassador’s residence.
On Thursday, the king will participate as chief of the Spanish delegation to the inauguration of Santos for the period 2014-2018 and once completed acts return to Madrid.
